Apple should be considering this idea as well since it worked well with their iPod range when they first creating the iPod and then the mini, the nano and the shuffle....so why not a cheaper version of the iPhone as well! Right?

A West African Proverb and its meaning:

There is no bad patience:

The meaning of this proverb you never harm if you be patience. Most of times it is very useful to take your time and make up your mind then choose the best ways that you want.

If you be patience, by not making really fast and stupid choices, the results of your decision will be amazing. In every culture there are many proverbs that show the importance of patience.

An example of a West African Mask

The Bolon are a small tribe in the region that is now known as Burkina Faso close to Mali. Their neighbors, the Marka and Senoufo-Senufo tribes, are more famous
This kind of masks is famous and many pieces with a great variety of models and styles have been described and published. The Bamana-Bambara used them in initiation ceremonies of young boys.
The n'tomo/ ntomo / n'domo / ndomo / ntoma are the second of the initiation societies of the Bamana/Bambara.
Young boys from three to six years old must become member to be prepared to participate in the intellectual, social, political, economical, moral and religious life of their people through all kinds of activities
These are the characters of the mask that I choose.
• a high and pronounced forehead, sign of intelligence;
• a high and long nose, symbol of vitality;
• a small, tubular mouth that reminds us of a baby that drinks the milk from it's mother's breasts;
• Three to eight peaks on the head, like antennas that capture the wisdom from the world.

In the Bambara region, in many pieces kauri shells are encrusted on the peaks and on the face; these are symbols of wishes for fertility and procreation. Only few masks were covered with metal.
The Marka and the Bolon used more metal sheets to cover their masks. The costume of the dancers hides their body completely.

I choose this mask because when you look at it makes think that it is made of wood but really it’s made of Iron. The good stuff about this mask is the iron that is made of is really strong and it has these needles on it that it’s cool. Also the color of the mask is really cool looking.

It can show about West African culture and society because with this sample I learned a lot of things about young people ceremony.

At the end of chapter 10, I read that the john kills Anna’s parrot and Anna get really mad of this. During chapter 11, it’s about the big ceremony and dinner celebration for return of the emperor and his man from the war which they won. Everyone was enjoying the dinner and the party during the dinner. Anna went out to have some fresh air and suddenly she saw Constantine there and he also wanted to take fresh air too. They had a little chat and they return to the main hall but john was in the yard too and he told his father about their conversation. Anna was so shamed and also her grandmother and mother told her that it was not good to speak with Constantine alone.





Chapter 12 note taking

Anna’s father wants to meet her in hall and when Anna went to the hall she saw that her father and her grandmother were waiting for her. Her father asked Anna about what she studied with her grandmother and what she like more to study about. Anna motioned that she likes to do more study with her grandmother because she has many experiments in every thing. Also in a very clever way she tried to tell her father that her grandmother changed true stories and she said the story however she wanted. At the end of the meeting grandmother was angry of her and told the emperor that Anna has misunderstood her.

Mosaic project



Title: Fountain
Artist: sadra zabbah

I tried to find one of the Persian mosaic samples that are used in many mosque and cultural and ancient buildings. Fountain is a feature in a pool which consists of a jet of water that is forced up into the air by a pump. This theme is coming from art and nature. I choose the fountain because I liked the actual color of blue and fountain is some thing very fun to watch. For my project I used kind of big blue stones that the represent the color and the shape of fountain. I used tiny dark and light blue sands on the background.

I choose this mosaic for my project for the following reasons:
1. Because it is one kind of the Persian mosaic samples.
2. I like the color of the mosaic that was light blue.
3. I like the design of the mosaic.
4. I think it’s easy for me to make a mosaic like it

can a woman be a strong leader?

yes because the women has the power to be a good thinker. they have the ability to control and govern. they can also be a really good politician. they can rule the house as a director and mother and they have a very important rule in a society and also they can work out of their homes and do their jobs in the best ways.


we have many examples in the history about the strong women which they had a very powerful rule. we can name many of them such as indra gundy,the queen elisabeth,the queen victoria,mrs klinton and many others that we can study in the history.
